I was thinking about doing something with our science topics of seasons. The students have a hard time understanding how seasons are different in different areas of the USA.
My objective would be: TSW understand how the season of winter varies based on location in the United States by tracking snowfall and recording their finding in their science notebooks. It would be nice to find 3-4 different classrooms to work with. I am thinking locations like florida, colorado, and washington state. It would be good to implement in early November. We could skype with the classrooms to see what their winter looks like. We could create google doc graphs that each location could fill in and share to show snowfall. At the end of the unit (maybe the middle of january), we could analyze the data and compare/contrast it all!
